Before you can rank high, you need to know what you are going to rank for offcourse.

You'll need to do market demand research and you can use keyword research tools for the purpose.

Just Google "wordtracker free keyword tool" and you'll find the best free keyword tool at the moment.

You'll be able to see what the demand is for a specific keyword per day.

You are going to optimize your lens for that keyword!

How can I make money on squidoo?

Sign up for an affiliate program and promote other companies' products through your affiliate link!

You can make up to 75% commissions by referring just one sale!

The most important thing to rank well in Google is good content and incoming LINKS!

Here's the 7 step blueprint for Google Lens Domination:

1. Title and Tags

Your lens has to be seo friendly. So when you set up your lens, make sure that you are targeting keywords that people are searching for. The main keyword will be the Title of your squidoo page. Make sure the other keywords are added as "tags". You will be able to add tags right at the beginning of building your lens.

2. Keywords in Content

Make sure that you repeat your main keyword in your lens a few times. 2 - 10 times maximum. 10 times is good if you have a big squidoo lens.

3. RSS & Ping

Every squidoo lens has an RSS feed. Once you publish your squidoo lens and you view your lens, have a look in the right sidebar and look for the small link that says "RSS". If you are using firefox browser, just right click and copy the link location.

Now go over to a website called Pingoat and add the following in the boxes:

Title: title of your squidoo lens

URL: the url of your squidoo lens

FEED: the rss url of your feed (the one you copied earlier)

Select ALL the services and hit PING.

If it asks you to fill in the verification code, do it and hit go.

This will then ping your lens all over the place.

4. Social Bookmarking

This will have the biggest impact of all, but takes the longest to accomplish.

Go over to a website known as SocialMarker. Sign up to ALL the services listed on the socialmarker site. Once signed up to all the sites, you go to SocialMarker's home page and on the right hand side enter the the information about your squidoo lens. Then run through the whole bookmarking process. It's easy to do, just follow each websites instructions.

5. Comment on blogs using a search website called BackLinkSpot.

Search for blogs which targets your keywords or which are closely related.

Make a relevant comment and include your squidoo lens url in the comment form.

6. Make friends on squidoo!

This is important. You need to join the available "squidoo groups" and also comment on other lenses. Make sure to include your url in the comment.

7. Rinse and Repeat

The entire RSS, PING, Social Bookmarking, Blog & Squidoo comments every week. This might sound like a lot of work, but once your rank well for a popular keyword you are set!

Once your lens is indexed by Google and you see it ranks well, keep doing the above promotional methods until you feel confident that you have a solid ranking.
